Who we are

Caucid is a newly established company located in Sasolburg that supplies specialized acid and caustic resistant monolithic materials as part of the Actsil range to Industrial plants. Actsil is for protecting normal civil cement, concrete or steel construction against chemical corrosion. This is specifically helpful in storage areas such as bunded areas.

Caucid is the sole supplier of the Actsil range of materials throughout Africa in both the civil and mining industry.

What is Actsil

Actsil looks and feels like civil concrete but contains no cement. Cement contains calcium hydroxide which is susceptible to chemical attack which can lead to lining failure. It was designed with ease of installation in mind and can be installed by an in-house civil contractor. Actsil can be casted over existing civil cement or concrete where needed. Due to the ease of installation it reduces down time as it doesn’t need any specialized installer or installation methods. Simply build shuttering and start casting.

DRS and DR6 is a two part mixture with 1:1 ratio. It is supplied as such 1 bag and 1 bottle with a maximum of 1,5% water should a high slump be required. Where as Actsil CR is a simple one bag mixture with 8-10% water.
